Managing Director of Kacstone Record’s, Wenawome Duriyem Aborah, together with the Founder of the Sister Kingdom Network and Ambassador for Africa at the Countrystyle Community Network, Dr. Tengol Kplemani, has held a strategic meeting with Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Kwairanga, Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group PLC and Sarkin Fulanin Gombe.
The meeting, held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra on Thursday, July 30th, focused on forging a partnership to promote culture and tourism across Africa.
The Sister Kingdom Network, in collaboration with Kacstone Record’s and its partners, is preparing to launch a major policy initiative aimed at uniting African traditional authorities, preserving the continent’s rich cultural heritage, and promoting entrepreneurship through community-owned tourism enterprises.
Kacstone Record’s reaffirmed its commitment to the promotion and preservation of Africa’s unique and diverse cultural heritage.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Tengol Kplemani said the partnership would strengthen intra-African cultural exchange and unlock the continent’s vast tourism potential.
“We have enormous potential in cultural tourism, yet it remains one of the most untapped sectors. Instead, much of our focus has been on the natural resources beneath the earth.
“If we bring our diverse cultures together and work collectively to promote and preserve them, we will create opportunities across multiple sectors, generate wealth, and improve livelihoods for Africans.” He added.
Managing Director of Kacstone Record’s, Wenawome Duriyem Aborah, described the collaboration among like-minded stakeholders as a potential game changer for Africa’s cultural diplomacy and tourism value chain.
“This is important for culture and tourism. If we, as Africans, pool our resources and chart our own path, we can all benefit from one another.
“We believe Africans must come together culturally and traditionally, learn from one another, strengthen our networks, and trade among ourselves to empower the continent.”
Mr. Wenawome added that the involvement of Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Kwairanga, with his extensive corporate leadership experience and respected traditional role, would be a significant asset to the yet-to-be-launched African cultural diplomacy project under the Sister Kingdom Network.
In his remarks, Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Kwairanga expressed optimism about the initiative and assured the team of his full collaboration and support.
He also encouraged the organisers to build partnerships with global and regional institutions, including the United Nations and the African Union.
“This initiative will not only promote our cultural and traditional heritage but also create cross-border opportunities for Africans, particularly the youth.”
Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Kwairanga has served at the highest levels of Nigeria’s banking, pensions, investment, manufacturing, and commercial sectors. His involvement in the initiative is expected to bring significant strategic value and further demonstrates the project’s potential to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s cultural, tourism, and economic development.
He was adorned with Traditional Ghanaian attire, fugu, and entrusted as a trustee for the project.
