Kacstone Record’s has officially announced a sponsorship agreement with the Kassena-Nankana West District Football Association to support the 2016–2017 season of the Kassena-Nankana West District Division Three League with a sponsorship package worth GH¢17,000 ahead of the upcoming football season.
The announcement was made during a football event held at the Paga Town Park following the coronation match between Paga Japan Sporting Club and Nyangania Alpha FC, where Paga Japan Sporting Club emerged champions of the 2025–2026 season tournament.
The support is aimed at covering officiating expenses and easing the financial burden faced by clubs competing in the district league.
The event attracted hundreds of football enthusiasts from across the area and was attended by renowned music legend Michael Adangba, Co-Director of Kacstone Record’s, alongside other members of the company.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Kacstone Record’s, Wenawome Duriyem Aborah, explained that the company’s decision to invest in grassroots football was inspired by the challenges many talented young players in rural communities face due to limited financial support.
According to him, many promising footballers are forced to abandon their ambitions because clubs often struggle to meet costs related to transportation, officiating fees, football equipment, and accommodation during competitions.
Aborah stated that supporting district football competitions would contribute significantly to the development of young talents in rural communities while also creating opportunities for youth to pursue careers in sports and other sectors. He further called on corporate bodies, individuals, and stakeholders to contribute to the growth of grassroots football both within the district and across the country.
He emphasized that support for young footballers should extend beyond financial assistance and include emotional and social encouragement to help players remain disciplined and focused on their goals.
The Chairman of the Kassena-Nankana West District Football Association, Jamil Atipaga, described the sponsorship as both timely and impactful. He noted that many clubs face serious financial difficulties during the season, with some teams unable to continue participation because of officiating and logistical costs.
Atipaga commended Kacstone Record’s for becoming one of the few private organizations in the Upper East Region to support district football competitions, adding that the sponsorship would provide much-needed relief to clubs in the area.
Club officials and coaches who attended the event also applauded the company for the initiative and encouraged other organizations to follow the example in supporting football development in rural communities.
The Kassena-Nankana West District Division Three League continues to serve as an important platform for identifying and nurturing young football talents for higher levels of competition in Ghana.
